Whether you are new to Congregation Brother of Israel (CBOI) or have been a member for decades, we need your input.
You have seen the following message in Shabbat Shalom the last few weeks: Help us GRASP the future!
If you care about the future of CBOI, it is time to step up and get involved. We are looking for individuals to commit to spending two hours on either a Monday evening or a Sunday morning to discuss "who we are and where we are going" as a synagogue family. We want individuals who are not afraid to share their thoughts and opinions and who care about our collective future. We will have two discussion sessions where we want to hear what you think and feel!
After our first 125 years, we are preparing for an equally long history in Bucks County. Where should we focus our attention? What is most important to you and your family? What do we do well and what can we do better? What programs would you like to see? How do you feel about - our religious school? services? activities - for children, adults, seniors? facilities?
These are just a few of the topics that we will be discussing on Monday June 2nd at 7;30pm and Sunday June 8th at 10:00am. Each session should last approximately 2 hours. We will meet in small groups of 4-6, each with a group leader. The number of groups will depend on the number of volunteers we get. The more the better for CBOI. We will have refreshments on Monday evening and bagels and more on Sunday morning. Should you wish to participate, but need babysitting or childcare, please let us know in advance and we will arrange for them.
As we work to create a vision for the future of Congregation Brothers of Israel, it is critical that we learn what our congregants want and need. Please plan to join us for one of the sessions.
Simply call the CBOI office (215-579-2200) by May 18 and let them know which session works for you. This is one activity that will give you an insight to the thoughts and feelings of other congregants and enable you to make a lasting impression on the future of CBOI!
