The Israel Forum will sponsor a JNF day on Sunday, May 9 at 10am. JNF programs in Israel as well as observations of Congregation members who have visited Israel in the past 12 months will be on the agenda. The Magen David Adom Chapter of Bucks will be presenting a musical Concert on Sunday night April 18 at 7pm at Ohev Shalom in Richboro. Look for details in the next few months and the poster in the synagogue foyer area. Have you read the recent published book, "Start -Up Nation" by Dan Senor and Saul Singer relating the story of Israel's Economic Miracle? This book gives insight into why venture capital flows into Israel. Stories of how and why Intel and other Industry giants have a great stake in Israel. Jews around the world need to constantly urge their governments to give Israel a fair hearing in Middle East affairs. The UN has never officially condemned the Hamas government in Gaza, the EU tries to equate Israel with its non democratic enemies and the rise in Anti Semitism is related to the one sided coverage given Israel around the world. Urge your senators and congressman to back Israel in forthcoming Palestinian talks.
Israel Forum Mission Statement "Improving and spreading knowledge of the State of Israel through education and communication" Goals 1. Establish a permanent Israel Forum at Brothers of Israel 2. Reach out to all local Jewish and non Jewish organizations in order to establish a strong relationship 3. Establish a stable source of funding that would support the Forum activities 4. Advertise the activities of the Forum and express clear intent to be active and make a difference 5. Quickly spread important news from Israel that could impact the Jewish Community Objectives 1. Members to meet once a month on the second Tuesday of the month 2. Provide and coordinate events that could include a key note speaker 3. Include articles in the BOI Newsletter, make announcements at services, call friends and family and encourage attendance and include an important fact in each BOI newsletter issue 4. Establish assignments & responsibilities
