B'nai Mitzvah Projects

Harris Lichtstein's Bar Mitzvah Project

For my Mitzvah Project, I am raising money and collecting gently used sneakers (would you pass your sneakers down to your brother or sister if the answer is “yes”, then we want your sneakers) and basketballs, to sponsor kids who may not have the means to play basketball. I love basketball and I know that I am very lucky to be able to play every year. Some kids can’t, so for my Mitzvah project I have decided to raise money to sponsor as many kids as I can. I will be donating all money raised to the Philadelphia Youth Basketball Organization. My goal is to raise $1500.00 which will sponsor an entire after school program for 20 kids. Please feel free to visit the Philadelphia Youth Basketball website.

The following text is taken from the website.

We are united by three core values:

1. A belief in creating opportunities for all children to reach their potential

2. A belief in empowering lower-income families and communities

3. A belief in the power of basketball and positive coaches in the lives of kids

I love the game of basketball and thank you for supporting me in helping others. To donate, please click here
