Learning takes place formally and informally, in classrooms, in services, and during events and celebrations at Congregation Brothers of Israel. We offer religious school programs for pre-school through confirmation. Torah Tots is free for pre-schoolers accompanied by an adult. Tuition for all other students is $360 per student per year. This does not include a one-time Bar/Bat Mitzvah fee, billed in 5th grade. Synagogue membership is required when your child(ren) are in 4th-7th grade.
Rabbi Gaber leads Talmud class at 11am on Wednesdays and a learners Minyan at 9:30 am on Sundays during religious school. He also teaches special programs that we are running throughout the year for adults while our children are in religious school. Our Adult Education Committee and Israel Forum sponsor speakers and programs throughout the year, and often partner with other congregations for large events. Check our calendar for these formal learning opportunities.
Newcomers, guests and non-members are welcome to participate in our adult learning opportunities, and children are welcome to spend a Sunday morning in our religious school at any point during the school year. We accept new students to our religious school program at any time during the school year. Call the office to visit the school or attend a school/synagogue holiday celebration as a guest.
If you would like to help plan Adult Ed or Israeli Forum programs, your interest would be welcome with open arms.
