Religious School Policy
On Sundays when inclement weather is forecast, the Education Director will make a decision about holding class by 8:00 a.m. and will send out an email. In addition, a posting will be promptly placed on our website, www.cboi.org, on our Facebook page and a text will be sent to parents.
Decisions about Wednesday cancellations will be made as quickly as possible. If the Council Rock School District closes for the day or cancels afterschool and evening activities, mid-week religious school will be cancelled. In cases of mid-week closings, efforts will be made to contact a parent or authorized person. Services and Other Synagogue Activities
Synagogue staff and leadership will be monitoring the weather forecasts and alerts throughout the winter months. Should the weather cause us to cancel any of our services, programs or classes, we will do our best to notify you by email notice, posting it on our website, www.cboi.org and text message. No email announcement will be made about snow cancellations on Shabbat. Please use your discretion and judgment regarding attendance during inclement weather on Shabbat. If you are unsure, before heading out please call the synagogue office at 215-579-2200. There will be a message on the synagogue voicemail.
At all times please make your safety your primary concern. In the case of very bad weather and/or power outages, whether you hear from us or not, please stay safe and off the roads.
