Dear Friends,
This year we are totally changing our structure and creating a whole-school approach to teaching the curriculum. Our goal is to meet every child where THEY are and guide them to the successful acquisition of Jewish learning.
One of the keys to a successful religious education is the involvement and commitment of the entire family to Jewish living. Please be an active partner!. Be present at programs, attend services as a family, and make CBOI an extension of your home,
With your help, we will continue trying to touch the lives of our children and their families and help them to become the next generation of committed members of the Jewish community.
We respect your ideas and input. We want to hear from you!
Shalom,
Joan

אַשְׁרֵי יוֹשְׁבֵי בֵיתֶֽךָ, עוֹד יְהַלְלֽוּךָ סּֽלָה
ASHREI YOSHVE VEYTECHA
Happy are those who dwell in your house.”
.
These words taken from the Psalms, and part of the prayer service, are traditionally said upon entering a synagogue. I believe that the tradition of reciting Ashrei is also appropriate as we return “home!” At Congregation Brothers of Israel, we try to create an educated, proud, vibrant, and “happy” community of learners.
