It is my great honor and joy to welcome you to CBOI—our warm, vibrant, and inclusive Conservative synagogue. Whether you are a lifelong member, new to the area, exploring Judaism, or simply looking for a spiritual home, we are so glad you’ve found us.
CBOI is an egalitarian community of caring and diverse people who strive to be connected to our faith, our families, and the larger community. We are a growing, evolving, and inclusive congregation, enjoying and enriching Jewish life together.
This mission guides everything we do—how we worship, learn, celebrate, and support one another.
Under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Cody Bahir, our congregation blends a deep respect for Jewish tradition with a warm, engaging, and modern approach to community life. Our services are participatory and uplifting, and our learning opportunities are both meaningful and fun. One of our highlights is Rabbi Bahir’s weekly Talmud class—a lively and thought-provoking discussion where timeless Jewish wisdom meets contemporary questions (and plenty of humor!).
At CBOI, Jewish life thrives in many ways. We come together for joyous Shabbat and holiday celebrations, family programs, and community events. Our religious school and adult education programs nurture a lifelong love of Jewish learning. Through acts of tikkun olam (repairing the world) and outreach, we make a positive impact beyond our synagogue walls.
But what truly makes CBOI special is our people. We are a congregation that welcomes with open hearts and open minds—a place where everyone can find connection, meaning, and friendship. Whether you join us for worship, study, social gatherings, or volunteer opportunities, you’ll discover a community that feels like family.
I invite you to experience CBOI for yourself—come to a Shabbat service, drop into a class, or join us at one of our many events. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing in the joy of Jewish life together.
With warmth and gratitude,
Roz Zucker
President, Congregation Brothers of Israel
